missoula friends of jung (MFOJ)

The MFOJ organization is dedicated to the promotion of Carl Jung’s research and the development of his analytical psychology. We have existed for over thirty years and are pleased to continue with old and new friends. With frequent online presentations, face-to-face meetings, or both, our members receive experiences with psyche that reveal its dynamics, the analytic process, and engage in symbolic expressions and meaning. Most of our events are free of charge.
“Everyone has the possibility of achieving something particular. We must not make the mistake of thinking there is a specific panacea, one remedy for all. Someone who does something small to the best of their ability also helps humanity to progress. It is not about this or that, but rather whether my existence here in this three-dimensional system has answered the individual call. Whether I have engaged myself with whatever was meant for me, in order to fulfill my life’s purpose and complete the task that was assigned to me. And not just thinking or talking about it, without then actually doing it.” Carl Jung
We also provide podcasts, papers related to Jungian Psychology, and responses to your questions using our email or the post and podcast link below. Our email address is mslafoj@gmail.com. If you have a relevant article, paper, poem, or a recent publication, please let us provide your creative efforts to our members. And ask questions at any time!

“By a symbol I do not mean an allegory or a sign, but an image that describes in the best possible way the dimly discerned nature of the spirit. A symbol does not define or explain; it points beyond itself to a meaning that is darkly divined yet still beyond our grasp, and cannot be adequately expressed in the familiar words of our language.” Carl Jung
